At just 20 years, Kylie Jenner becomes the youngest person to be featured on Forbe’s annual list of America’s self-made women. Kylie Jenner founded her cosmetic line “Kylie Cosmetic” Formerly known as “Lip Kits by Kylie” in 2016 has an estimated net worth of $900 million. In February 2016, product production was increased from 15,000 units to 500,000 units after three months of production. As of August 2017, 300,000 units are in production. In the first 18 months, the company generated $420 million in revenue. Kylie Cosmetics is a cruelty-free company. The products are not animal-tested and do not include any animal products such as honey or beeswax.While the company has a made of itself in a short period of time, it has also faced the same amount of criticism by the consumers. In 2017, Kylie Cosmetics launched a set of 16 luxury makeup brushes, priced at $360 and in no time the twitter was flooded with negative comments and criticism towards the quality and price of the brushes from her customers to her fans and some the few big-name makeup artists including Jeffree Star, Manny MUA, and James Charles.

Kylie Cosmetic has collaborated with some of the biggest celebrities (and half-sisters) like Kim Kardashian West, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian and her mom Kris Jenner. She also launched the new “Weather” collection which is dedicated to her daughter Stormi Webster. With the amount of following Kylie Jenner has at such a young age, and seeing how she is able to deal with it, It looks like the brand is only going to grow with time.
