This year’s Oscar was really very extraordinary as the audience from all over the world witnessed some very special moments. The event went hostless after exactly 30 years and ‘A Star Is Born‘ co-stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper received standing ovation twice.

When stars received two standing ovations: 

‘A Star Is Born‘ co-stars Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performed on their song  “In the shallow, shallow.” and received standing ovation twice, first, after they finished their stage show and the second one after they walked back on stage during the commercial break.

Every inch of the Dolby Theatre was filled with the melodious voice of Lady Gaga and Cooper.

Chris Gardner took to Twitter to share the videos of the standing ovations. He wrote, “Here’s what standing ovation looked like inside Dolby for @ladygaga and Bradley Cooper after their “Shallow” #Oscars performance. Irina Shayk was first up out of her seat. Before Bradley walked up to perform, Jennifer Lopez patted him on back to encourage him. Super sweet.”

In his other tweet, he wrote, “Something major just happened. After “Shallow” perf, @ladygaga & Bradley Cooper exited stage for a commercial break. During the break, they came back to their seats from stage then the audience gave them another standing o. I’ve never seen that happen for any performers. Cue embrace#Oscars”

India Won Oscar after exactly 10 years

Indian short film ‘Period. End of Sentence’ won an Oscar for the best Documentary short film this year. The film is sponsored by executive producer Guneet Monga and co-producer Monga’s Sikhya Entertainment and it is directed by the award-winning filmmaker Rayka Zehtabchi.

India held the trophy after exactly 10 years. Music composer and singer AR Rehman won Oscar award in 2009 for his song ‘Jai Ho…’ from the movie ‘Slumdog Millionaire’.  Indian short film ‘Period. End of Sentence’ has won an Oscar for the best Documentary short film this year. Rami Malek fell off the stage

Rami won the Best Actor Oscar trophy for his film ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. The actor went to the stage and received his award and gave his acceptance speech. When he was returning after the speech, Malek fell off the stage. He even dropped his trophy, but both seemed to be okay. Paramedics were called instantly and they cleared that no bones were broken and no harm was done.

Makeup artist Greg Cannom has an Indian connection

Greg Cannom along with Kate Biscoe and Patricia Dehaney received his fourth Oscar for the film ‘Vice’. Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor congratulated the artist for his win on Twitter. Greg worked with Kapoor for ‘Kapoor and Sons’ and gave his unforgettable look for the film.

“Congratulations, Greg Cannom, for your fourth Oscar for the film Vice. You did Kapoor And Sons with me. Bravo,” tweeted the 66-year-old actor soon after the award was announced.
