Let the censor board should decide the movie 'Padmavati'.

Bollywood actor Salman Khan says that Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) should decide on the upcoming period drama movie ‘Padmavati‘. The controversy which has surrounded the Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’, on that actor Salman Khan has extended his support to the celebrated filmmaker. Salman says that he knows Sanjay very well and he will never show anyone in the bad light.

Moreover, he says that we should all let the CBFC decide what is right or what is wrong. He says that let the board take the decision. The filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is very well known for making the beautiful and excellent movies based on historical events.

The movie is all set to release on December 1, has been now embroiled in a controversy by some of the Hindu groups and political parties which also includes Bharatiya Janta Party and Congress Party. However, these party claims that the upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’ distorts history and the makers of the movie have wrongly presented Rani Padmini.

An actor Salman Khan has worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the movies like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Saawariya’ and ‘Khamoshi’ and he feels that no decision should be made without watching the movie. He believes that in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movies heroines look very beautiful and his movies never have any vulgarity. If we all look at his previous movies than one should know that he will never portray any character in the bad light.

On Monday, The Indian Films and TV Directors Association (IFTDA), along with four other bodies, came out in support for Bhansali with #WeSupportPadmavati campaign and sought protection of freedom of expression of artists.

The Indian Films and TV directors association, Cine and Television Artist Assists and along with the Western India Cinematographers Association, the Screenwriter association, Associations of Cine and television art director and costume designer have all decided that they will all extend their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali on 16th November at the Film City. The members of all the association will stand in silence for 15 minutes from 11 a.m.

The movie ‘Padmavati’ has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh as Allauddin Khilji, Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh, Jim Sarbh, and Aditi Rao Hydari.

The movie ‘Padmavati’ is all set to release on December 1, 2017.
