It is well-said negativity does not last longer than positivity, but there are some negative role players in Bollywood who still recalled in the memories of fans more than the hero of the movie, yes there are some Actors whose villainous role still robe the heart of audience. The legendary Amrish Puri is one of them.

Amrish Puri has marked his debut as an actor is in the year 1970; from 1970 to 2005 he worked for almost 400 movies. In his career of 35 years what he gains so far is the title of Villain.

He reprises a negative role so well that movie outshines because of villain more than the hero while some of his positive roles also left the mark in the history of cinema. Puri has won three Film fare Awards for Best Supporting Actor.

The role of villainous “Mogambo” in MR. India is alive even today; his famous dialogue from the movie “Mogambo khush hua” is hard to replace whereas “Jaa simran jaa” from Dil Wale Dulhaniya Lejayenge is sustaining its call from long.

The great actor has not only left his footprints in Bollywood but also in Hollywood where he broke as Khan, a supporting role in the Oscar-winning movie, “Gandhi”. His contribution to cinema is remarkable, performing different roles for films in a number of languages including Hindi, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, and English.

Some of the best movies of his career apart from eternal MR. India and Dil Wale Dulhaniya Le Jyenge were: Karan Arjun, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, Nayak: The Real Hero, Vidhaata, Tridev, Ghayal, Damini, Phool Aur Kaante, etc.

On 22 January 2005 the journey of Amrish Puri’s life and career came to end however he is Eternal in an air of cinema.
