The actor has repeatedly talked about how his idol and love in the Indian Cinema is the great Senior Bachchan. He was overwhelmed with pride and disbelief when he shared the Filmfare award for best actor with the maestro himself.

His tremendous performance as the antagonist Sultan Khilji has been garnering eyeballs all over the world. Co-actors, audiences, his fans and everyone is gushing over the actor’s marvelous effort and effortless acting.
However, an award will obviously top all of these praises for Ranveer. Even before the award season begins, Ranveer seems to have got his first award for playing Khilji.

The young actor had this to say, when questioned about whether he was an Amitabh fan.
“I am a Hindi film fan first, then an actor. And if you are a Hindi film fan, you are an Amitabh Bachchan fan,” he said.
The film is grossing at high ranks on the Indian as well as overseas box office, and is predicted to break overseas records of other Bollywood big hits like Tiger Zinda Hai, PK, etc
