It’s an era of reliving our childhood by our favorite characters on silver screen. First ‘Mogli’ and then the ferocious ‘Lion King’.

Yes, Walt Disney has given us our early days back with the remake of the 1994 animated feature, ‘The Lion King’ and it recently released the teaser of the movie. The teaser gave the glimpse of the compelling tale.

The video sees a cute cub who after anointment, is announced the future king of the Jungle after his father, by the old monkey, Rafiki. And then every animal hails and bows to the innocent cub.

The voice in the video announces, “Everything the light touches is our kingdom. But the key’s time is the ruler’s. It rises and falls like the Sun. One day the Sun will set on my time here and will rise with you as the new king.”

The film’s synopsis reads, “From Disney Live Action, director Jon Favreau’s all-new The Lion King journeys to the African savanna where a future king must overcome betrayal and tragedy to assume his rightful place on Pride Rock.”

The video ends with the King’s growl, with which every 90’s kid is well aware of.

Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Billy Eichner, John Oliver, Keegan-Michael Key, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones have given the voice to the movie. The film has been written by Jeff Nathanson with music by the award-winning composer Hans Zimmer.

The film is scheduled to release on 19 July 2019.
