Luka Chuppi, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer in the lead roles, it minting well at the box office. The film maintains a good collection on the second Friday with ₹3.04 crores. The collection of the film is slightly affected by the latest Hollywood release ‘Captain Marvel‘, but is expected to do better business on second Saturday and Sunday. Currently, the film stands at a total of ₹56.70 crores.
‘Luka Chuppi’ explores a journey of a supposed to be arranged marriage, turned to a live-in relationship and then to a love marriage. Kartik and Kriti who met each other through their respective families to arrange marriage, decide to give live-in a shot in order to check their compatibility. The story takes a twist when their family find out and decide to live in with them, unknown to the fact that they are not married.
The film is helmed by Laxman Utekar, the romantic comedy has received mix reviews from the audience as well as critics. But the film is earning well at the box office.
Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest collection of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and he wrote, ”#LukaChuppi maintains well… Slightly affected by #CaptainMarvel wave at metros/plexes… Expected to gather speed on [second] Sat and Sun… [Week 2] Fri 3.04 cr. The film performed well despite facing competition from Abhishek Chaubey’s ‘Sonchiriya’, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles.
