Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi did exceptionally well in its first week as it collected ₹53.70 crores. On Thursday the movie collected 50% of its opening day collection. According to boxofficeindia.com, the film observed a lesser collection in similar zones than films like ‘Badhaai Ho’ and ‘Stree’ despite of a better opening. But surely ‘Luka Chuppi’ is a hit film, it emerged as Kartik Aaryan’s biggest one-week grosser.

The film explores a journey of a supposed to be arranged marriage, turned to a live-in relationship and then to a love marriage. Kartik and Kriti who met each other through their respective families to arrange marriage, decide to give live-in a shot in order to check their compatibility. The story takes a twist when their family find out and decide to live in with them, unknown to the fact that they are not married
