Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer, Luka Chuppi, had a decent second weekend as the film collected a total of ₹12 crores net. The film earned a little less than expected because of the Sunday India-Australia cricket match. The film stands at a total of ₹62.05 crores.
The film is helmed by Laxman Utekar, the romantic comedy has received mix reviews from the audience as well as critics. But the film is earning well at the box office because of its popularity among the youngsters.
Trade analyst and film critic, Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter to reveal the latest collection of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and he wrote, ”#LukaChuppi has struck a chord with the youth… Biz on [second] Sat witnesses super growth… Crosses ₹ 60 cr… Eyes ₹ 75 cr… [Week 2] Fri 3.15 cr, Sat 5.20 cr. Total: ₹ 62.05 cr. India biz”.

‘Luka Chuppi’ explores a journey of a supposed to be arranged marriage, turned to a live-in relationship and then to a love marriage. Kartik and Kriti who met each other through their respective families to arrange marriage, decide to give live-in a shot in order to check their compatibility. The story takes a twist when their family find out and decide to live in with them, unknown to the fact that they are not married.
