The first look of Anil Kapoor from his upcoming film Malang is out. And the name of his character is Anjaney Agashe. The actor, who was recently seen in Anees Bazmee directorial Pagalpanti, took to his social media account to share the image. The picture features Kapoor in police officer’s uniform wearing red glasses. He can be seen sitting in a laid-back manner laughing loudly. His tattooed hands and posture suggest he is playing a badass cop in the movie.

Revealing some details about Kapoor’s character, a trade source told Mid-Day, “Anil’s role is extremely quirky and mad. One can’t define what he plays, because his character’s [personality] keeps changing. He has a dark humour with heroic shades. He is the oddball in the group; doesn’t conform to society and does things on his own. It’s a character off Quentin Tarantino’s films.”
The source further added, “Malang showcases the point of view of four people about an occurring that has taken place over a night. All the characters are grey.”
Malang also features Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani and Kunal Kemu in the lead roles. It is directed by Mohit Suri who has previously directed films such as Zeher, Kalyug, Woh Lamhe, Half Girlfriend, Ek Villain and others. He has previously collaborated with Aditya in Aashiqui 2 and with Kunal in Kalyug.
Malang is jointly produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Luv Films’ Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg, and Northern Lights Entertainment’s Jay Shewakramani. It is scheduled to be released on 14 February next year.
