The trailer of upcoming Indian Malayalam-language science fiction horror thriller film ‘Nine (9)’ released on Tuesday. The trailers also have English subtitles in it. The film is written and directed by Jenuse Mohamed.
It is jointly produced by Prithviraj Productions and SPE Films India and distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing. This is the first time Sony Pictures has invested in South Industry and it is the debut of Prithviraj Productions. The music for the film is given by Shaan Rahman.
The film stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead role and Prakash Raj, Mamta Mohandas, Wamiga Gabbi, and Alok k Yadhav in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to be released on 7 February 2019.
The film is shot in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Kuttikkanam hill station in Idukki district, and in Manali, Himachal Pradesh. Most part of the movie is shot at night so high precision movie camera was required. And for the first time in the history of Indian cinema, the Red Gemini 5K camera was used for filming.
Prithviraj is mainly a Malayalam film actor who occasionally appears in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu films. He made his acting debut with the Malayalam film, ‘Nandanam’ in a leading role in 2002. It was released after his second movie ‘Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari’.
He made his Bollywood debut with ‘Aiyyaa’ in 2012, for which he was nominated for Zee Cine Award for Best Male Debut. His second Hindi movie was ‘Aurangzeb’ for which he earned IBNLive Movie Award for Best Actor in Supporting Role.
He will be next seen in Malayalam movies ‘Lucifer’ and ‘Aadujeevitham’.
