Mallika started her filmy career with the romantic Hindi movie “Khwahish” in 2003, which got her some good offers in the industry. Just then, she was offered to work in a erotic-thriller film Murder in 2004, co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Ashmit patel in the lead roles. She was very much appreciated for her role in the movie and received a nomination for ‘Best Actress’ at the Zee Cine Awards. Her performance in the romantic-comedy film Pyaar Ke Side Effects, co-starring Rahul Bose, was also very well received by the industry.
Apart from Hindi films, she even worked in English and Chinese movies. In 2010, her adventure-horror film “Hiss” was a big success in the box office and she also won “Best Actress Award” in Gotham Screen Film Festival & Screenplay Contest.
