‘Vodka Diaries‘ is an upcoming film set in contemporary Manali. The movie is directed by Kushal Shrivastava under the banner of K’Scope Entertainment Pvt Ltd and produced by Vishal Karkera. The movie features Kay Kay Menon as ACP Ashwini Dixit, Raima Sen as Roshni Banerjee, Mandira Bedi as Shikha Dixit and Sharib Hashmi as Sr inspector Ankit Dayal. The story of the movie “Vodka Diaries” will revolve around a club called Vodka Diaries, where few murders have happened and ACP Ashwini Dixit is investigating them.
Cricket commentator Mandira Bedi rose the popularity from her role in the Blockbuster movie titled “Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge” starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. Now she is all set to feature in a poetic avatar in Vodka Diaries. She says that her character in the movie adds charm. She said,”This is a suspense thriller movie and my poetic avatar will add a charm to the entertainment quotient of the movie. People will see me like never before.” According to the sources, Mandira Bedi has a very good command over voice modulation, so it was very easy for her to deliver dialogues. The dialogues were written by well-known poet Aalok Shrivastav.
Mandira says that she is fond of veteran writer Gulzar’s works and she listens to his poems and songs often online. The shoot of the movie “Vodka Diaries” took place in Manali and she says that the location helped her enhance her performance too. The story of the movie will revolve around a policeman who attempts to solve a series of mysterious murders happening in a single night, which might be connected to the night club Vodka Diaries.
