manikarnika-the queen of jhansi

‘Manikarnika – The Queen Of Jhansi’ which released last week in two languages, completed its first weekend in theatres. The film opened amidst positive reviews and Kangana Ranaut has been earning appreciation for her performance since then.

The film saw a massive growth on the second day, but the business declined a little on the third day. The Hindi version of the film managed to collect ₹40 crores net over its first weekend but according to the trade pundits, it was a cake walk as the film got the advantage of the national holiday.

The film’s Hindi version collected ₹7.75 crores net on its opening day, ₹17.75 crores net on the second day and ₹14.75 crores on its third day.

In some parts of the country like Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Nizam the business was not appreciable now weekdays in these parts will decide the fate of the movie.

Till now ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ the highest first weekend collections for a female-driven film with ₹37.50 crore net, but now ‘Manikarnika’ has surpassed its first week earning. Interestingly both featured Kangana as the female lead.

According to the Box Office India reports, “The collections are no doubt good for a film which has Kangana Ranaut as the only face who is not a huge star but the question for such a film is always appreciated and going on after the weekend.”

The film was also released in Tamil and Telugu and like every other Hindi movie, this too does not have high hopes from these versions.
