Dhanush on Tuesday announced that Malayalam actress Manju Warrier will share screen space with him in the movie, ‘Asuran’. The film mark as the debut of Manju Warrier in Kollywood.
Welcoming Manju Warrier to Kollywood, Dhanush wrote, “#asuran – update .. the evergreen Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead. Excited to share screen space and learn from this amazing talent. (sic)”

The first look of the film features Dhanush, with tobacco-stained teeth and holy ash on his forehead, caught the attention of Twitterati.
‘Asuran’ is directed by Vetrimaaran. Dhanush and the director had previously worked on Vada Chennai, Polladhavan and Aadukalam. The film will mark their fourth collaboration together.
According to sources, ‘Asuran’ is said to be based on a Tamil novel called ‘Vetkai’. The official first look poster of the film released recently and Dhanush sports a new hairdo and a twirled mustache in it.
