In the present day, any individual from any country all over the world who has been active on any social networking sites at least once in the past week has witnessed the rising popularity of the ‘Yodel Boy’. This Yodel Boy is in reality, Mason Ramsey – an 11-year-old boy from Southern Illinois, USA who came face to face with immense fame after his video of yodelling at a local Walmart spread like wildfire and trended on all social media for many days. The entire world was soon talking about and making memes about his yodelling.
This sudden popularity exposed him to many connections online, one of whom provided him with the greatest stage an artist in America can hope for – Coachella. After performing a grand stage in Coachella for an audience of over a million, Mason Ramsey went on to create a Twitter account which quickly gained over 2,00,000 followers.
On the midnight of 28th April, Mason Ramsey released his first single called famous on Apple, Spotify and YouTube. This song quickly gained high exposure as the public started to recognize him for his actual singing talent, rather than his ‘yodels’.
His song ‘Famous’ is actually a very heartfelt song about country love, where he speaks about loving a girl, and confessing that if he ever wanted to be famous for something, it would be for loving her.
