Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra will have a special screening of his latest film ‘Mere Pyaare Prime Minister‘ for spiritual leader Sadhguru in Coimbatore. The renowned yogi and spiritual leader, Sadhguru has been active on social and environmental issues.
The film ‘Mere Pyaare Prime Minister’ is based on a socially relevant issue which is about a single mother, whose eight-year-old son wants to make a toilet for her because he is really concerned about his mother’s safety when she goes out to defecate in the middle of the night, every night like lakhs of women does in India.
The Filmmaker will be flying to Coimbatore for the special screening of the film. It talks about socially relevant and impactful issues of open defecation and rape. ‘Mere Pyare Prime Minister’ stars the national award-winning actress Anjali Patil, in the role of the mother. The project is bankrolled by Rakeysh’s wife Bharathi Mehra.
The National award-winning director has delivered a social message with an emotional storyline yet again. Mehra who has helmed films like ‘Rang De Basanti’, ‘Delhi-6’ and ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, now is all set to present ‘Mere Pyaare Prime Minister’.
The film also features Makarand Deshpande, Rasika Agashe, Sonia Albizuri and Nachiket Purnapatre in pivotal roles. The music is given by Shankar Ehsan Loy and lyrics are written by Gulzar.
