28 years ago Micheal Keaton donned the role of Batman for the last time in Tim Burton’s 1992 film ‘Batman Returns’. Since then many other actors have portrayed the role, with Christian Bale in ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’ becoming the most popular one amongst others.

Now, after his last stint as the caped crusader, In a surprising news, Micheal Keaton is in talks to play the role of Batman again. This time in Ezra Miller starrer film, The Flash. The upcoming film is being helmed by ‘IT’ fame Andy Muschietti. ‘The Hollywood Reporter’, has reported this latest development.

According to sources, the film’s story is based on time travel and inter-dimensional travel. If, Keaton agrees to the role, then he will appear in multiple DC films, which also includes ‘Batgirl’.

In 1989, Keaton played the role of Batman for the first time in the Tim Burton directorial. At the time, fans criticized his casting as he was known for his comedic roles more. Though after the film released and became a hit at the box office, many appreciated his performance.

The Batman franchise was dead after Tim Burton’s films, as they had poor storyline and many actors were considered a poor choice after Keaton’s departure. Though, in 2005 the Batman franchise revived again with Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins.

While, Keaton is in talks to play the role of Batman in The Flash, Robert Pattinson is playing Batman too. The British actor is set to feature in Matt Reeves’s ‘The Batman’.

Meanwhile, The Flash is expected to start shooting in London next year.
