‘Milan Talkies’ collection: The film fails to impress large audience, collects ₹45 lakhs over the weekend

Milan Talkies collection

‘Milan Talkies’ which released last Friday with several other Bollywood movies failed to make an impact on the audience’s mind as well as at the box office. After completing a whole weekend in the theatres the film only managed to collect ₹45 lakhs approximately.

Milan Talkies’ starring Ali Fazal and Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath released on Friday last week and the highly anticipated movie did not live upto the expectations of trade gurus.

The film had an intriguing fun story with a handful of drama and a pinch of action which makes it a typical Desi love story. But proper execution and shoddy screenplay ruined the game.

‘Milan Talkies’ also stars Ashutosh RanaSanjay Mishra, Reecha Sinha, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and Sikandar Kher.

Fazal is portraying the role of a young and ambitious director in the movie, loosely resembling famous filmmaker Guru Dutt. Sikander Kher will be seen as the main antagonist in the film.

The film explores a love story set against the backdrop of the “old-world charm of single-screen cinemas”, according to the official synopsis.

The film is written and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, co-written by Kamal Pandey and financed by P. S. Chhatwal in Association with Producer Om Prakash Bhatt’s Purple Bull Entertainment.
