The adorable tinsel town couple, Shahid and Mira turned bride-groom again for the Lakme Fashion Week 2018, for designer Anita Dongre. The couple were seen walking for the designer on the launch of her newly launched collection titled – “Songs of Summer”.
“Mira looks as beautiful today as she looked that day. And maybe we could have got married again today,” said Shahid Kapoor, smothered with joy and smiles.
For the highly acclaimed designer Anita Dongre, Mira Rajput Kapoor was the only one she could picture in the bridal outfit. The outfit was a soothing blend of divine whites, array of pastel shades and sage colours. Mira, look enthralling and breathtaking in the outfit that blended of both Indian and western clothing.
Mira wore the beautiful-floral lehenga whereas Shahid wore an organic cotton cream bandh-gala for the event.
When Shahid was asked, what does he prefer Mira in – Indian wear or Western wear – he had this to say, “It’s very important for men to understand that women should wear what they feel comfortable in and we should support them. It’s very tiring for a woman to always think about what the guy thinks and other way round too.”
He also added, “We’ve to accept each other for who we are that’s the only reason for us to make us work because we’re from very different backgrounds. She likes me for who I am and I like her for who she is, so whatever she wears, it’s awesome.”
Also, it turns out that this was Mira’s first time as a show stopper and she admitted that she was nervous. “I have to be honest, I did ask Shahid that I hope I wouldn’t fall. Everyone walks with so much attitude and they’ve been doing it for so many years, obviously, I was really nervous but I knew I was in safe hands.”
“The moment we stepped on the ramp, I just looked at him and said all the best but I needed all the luck,” she added, while talking about her nervousness.
Possibly, it was Mira that brought Shahid to the runway this time and this is what Shahid had to say,” “Anita is Mira’s dear friend and I’m her dear husband.”
Talking about the designer the couple said, “Anita is synonymous with beautiful designs, that are modern and at the same time, extremely traditional. What you wear is light and it makes you feel beautiful. It’s so easy to walk for the first time and I knew I wasn’t going to fall in these clothes.”
