Narendra Modi web series

The trailer of Eros Now’s web series ‘Modi: Journey Of A Common Man’ helmed by Umesh Shukla and writer and Censor Board member Mihir Bhuta released on Tuesday and just like the biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi‘ this too depicts his life journey from the very beginning, when he used to sell tea.

The almost three-minute long video starts with Faisal Khan as a young PM Modi selling tea in the trains. The whole trailer highlights the fact that for our Prime Minister nothing is greater than the nation and the democracy. The video gives us a few glimpses of his childhood and his youth when he decided to live a life of celibacy and went to hills for the same. The video also shows some parts of Godhra Riots which had taken place in 2002, when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Actor Mahesh Thakur will portray PM Modi as Gujarat CM while Ashish Sharma will play a younger version of him. Salim-Sulaiman will compose music for the series.

“Modi: The Journey Of A Common Man” will have a poem penned by PM Modi himself. The director has acquired permission to use the poem, which will be presented as a song.

“When we were researching on our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we came across beautifully written, thought-provoking poems written by him and felt that we must use one of his poems,” the series’ director Umesh Shukla said in a statement.

“So we used the poem ‘Shyam Ke Rogan Lele’ and it has turned to be a hummable song.”

The series will premier on the digital platform in April 2019.
