The Malayalam actor, Mohanlal has got his leading lady for his next film. Actress, Shraddha Srinath who was part of the Netflix film, Krishna and his Leela is the one joining him. In the film, she will essay the role of an IAS officer.

Director, B Unnikrishnan is directing the film with a script from Udayakrishna, best known for writing the Mohanlal starrer action film, Pulimurugan.

For bringing Shraddha on board, the director had a call with her, where he explained to her the script. The actress instantly liked it and her role, which requires her to work significantly for the film.

In November, the film will start its shoot, with a majority of the film’s portions set for shooting in Kochi. Reports state that the film is an out and out mass entertainer, which has a budget of Rs 18 Crores.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic is still existing, all the cast and crew of the film are going to take tests before joining the sets of the film. They will also have to quarantine themselves for 7 days before they start work.

Shooting for the film is going to take place as per the government’s guidelines, with minimal crew set to work on the film.

Shraddha Srinath gained fame after her roles in films such as Vikram Vedha, Jersey, and U-Turn among others. Next in line for her are Vishal’s Chakra and R Madhavan’s Maara.

On the other hand, Mohanlal is waiting for the release of his next, Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham. It was to release in April this year but because of the pandemic, the film didn’t release.

Mohanlal also has Jeetu Joseph’s Ram as his next film, which he will start early next year. The film is going to be shot majorly outside India.

Delays to the films of all actors have occurred due to COVID-19, but completing the pending work is important too. Mohanlal is doing the same. The rest of the cast of the film is going to be revealed soon.
