Prajakta Koli is known for her unique storylines. The fact that she manages to surprise her audience every week, from a perspective that was never seen or thought of is commendable. MostlySane’s new YouTube video ‘If Shopkeepers Were Honest’ is one such example. The video was posted on June 27, 2019, and has 323k+ views. Also, the video is #28 on trending.

Prajakta at the end says that she has done research on this topic for god knows how long. She further adds that whenever she used to come for shopping, she used to wonder what shopkeepers actually wanted to say but they did not, because the customer is always right and treated next to God.

The video brings forth the perspective of shopkeepers, which could be relatable if any of your acquaintance owns a shop. You might see them coming back home and telling you stuff that they didn’t tell the customers. The video begins in a saree shop, where different customers come and the shopkeeper uses those same lines, which he has been using since long, for instance, “‘it’s the single piece, you won’t find anything like it anywhere’, ‘it’s a designer piece, the one exactly like that actress wore’. Just like the shopkeepers, women too also repeat the same lines, “‘it is available at a lesser price in the next shop’, ‘show me more variety or colors of this one’, ‘you are asking too much money for this’, and so on”.

The video is funny because we have all seen our moms or even ourselves saying these lines over the years and the shopkeepers too keep saying the same stuff.

What they don’t say out loud is in the video. Watch the video below or head over to MostlySane’s youtube.
