Bollywood actor Janhvi Kapoor, who made her film debut with Shashank Khaitan directorial Dhadak last year, has been roped in for his another upcoming film. According to a report by Filmfare, she will join Varun Dhawan and Bhumi Pednekar for Khaitan’s directorial film Mr. Lele.

Kiara Advani was reported to play the part  which now has been offered to Kapoor. But Advani was loaded with scripts and was not able to give suitable dates to the makers. Therefore, she exited the project and the role went to Kapoor.

While Kapoor and Khaitan have previously worked on Dhadak, this film marks the third collaboration of Dhawan and Khaitan. He has directed Dhawan in two commercially successful films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and its sequel Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The film marks the first collaboration of Pednekar with the director. It would be the first time that these three actors would come together on the big screen.

Mr. Lele is also reported to be a full commercial entertainer with trademark Shashank Khaitan and Varun Dhawan stamped all over it. The film is currently in the prep and expected to go on the floors in late February or early March. The first schedule will be shot in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has recently wrapped up the schedule of Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl which is scheduled to be released on 13 March 2020. She is also gearing up for Zoya Akhtar’s segment in Netflix anthology film Ghost Stories. She is working in Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan and will also be seen with Rajkummar Rao in Roohi Afza.
