Ishaan Khatter gets his reel siblings for his war film, Pippa. Actors, Mrunal Thakur, and Priyanshu Painyuli join him in the much-hyped film. Airlift fame director, Raja Krishna Menon is helming the film while Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur produce it.

Confirming the news, Ishaan posted about it on his Instagram page. Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh also tweeted the following :

The film is based on Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta’s book, The Burning Chaffees. The backdrop of the film is the famous 1971 Indo-Pakistan war, in which Brigadier Balram Singh played a major role. He served in the 45th Cavalry tank squadron and fought Pakistani forces on the eastern front along with his siblings.

In another report, the Times Of India state that Soni Razdan is going to play the mother of Ishaan Khatter and his onscreen siblings Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu in the film.

Happy to have compiled the major cast of his film, Raja Krishna Menon gave out a statement and said :

“With Mrunal and Priyanshu joining Ishaan, we have three of the most exciting young actors coming together. Personally, I’m very excited to work with such extraordinary young talent and look forward to the energy they bring to Pippa.”

The writing of the film is done by Ravinder Randhawa, Tanmay Mohan, and Krishna Menon.

When can we expect the film to release? 2021 is the year when the movie gets out. Though an official date is going to be announced soon.
