Mrunal Thakur is one of the who has successfully transitioned into films from a established career in television.

She recently shared shared a picture on her Instagram profile, which had the clap board of ‘Toofan’.

Mrunal mentioned that she has begun filming for this Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s sports drama film, that co-stars Farhan Akhtar.

Mrunal made her Bollywood debut last year with Tabrez Noorani’s ‘Love Sonia’ where she played the title role of a girl dragged into sex trade.

The role met with critical acclaim but the film however, under performed at the box-office.

Her last role was in Nikhil Advani’s action thriller ‘Batla House’, where she shared the screen with John Abraham.

Earlier, she appeared along side Hrithik Roshan in Vikas Bahl’s biographical drama film ‘Super 30’, which was based on mathematician Anand Kumar.

Mrunal recently stated that she has begun filming for the Karan Johar’s segment in the Netflix horror anthology film ‘Ghost Stories’, which has films by four directors.

Prior to entering Bollywood, Mrunal had worked extensively on television serials like ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun’.

Mrunal has also acted in Marathi films like ‘Vitti Dandu’ and ‘Surajya’.
