Mrunal Thakur: Demi Moore kept wiping my tears!

Mrunal Thakur is an Indian actress. She made her career with the Star Plus show “Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan”, where she played the role of Gauri Bhosle opposite Mohit Sehgal. Later she played the role of a journalist on the Star Plus show “Har Yug Mein Ayega Ek Arjun”. She even hosted a Hindi play school Do Fool Chaar Mali along with co-host Barun Sobti, which was directed by Manoj Verma. She rose the popularity from the most popular show “Kumkum Bhagya” opposite Arijit Taneja. Currently, she is playing the lead in the Indo-American project, ‘Love Soniya’.

Actress Mrunal said that it was thrilled to spent two days of shooting with the international star Demi Moore. In the series, Mrunal will be playing the role of a young village girl who becomes a victim of the sex trade. Mrunal says, “It was a dream come true for me. I have grown up watching films like ‘Striptease’ and ‘Ghost’, and here I was in the same frame as the gorgeous DemiMoore. Even today, she can give young actresses a run for their money.”

She shot a few emotional scenes with Demi, On this Mrunal said, “She continuously kept asking me how I was able to cry so easily in the heavy-duty emotional scenes. I explained to her how back home, on TV shows, we are continuously enacting such scenes and that’s how crying comes naturally to us. She actually kept wiping my tears with her shawl after every scene!”

Mrunal said she did not groom herself for six months to look the part of the film. She says, “I did not do my eyebrows for many months. In fact, during my auditions, the makers were sceptical of casting me in the project because they felt I was too beautiful for the role. Also, they had reservations because of my television background. So, it was much more challenging to be transported into a completely different environment.”
