Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi starrer ‘Amavas‘ has been delayed by three weeks due to visual effects and post-production related work. The film was slated to release on January 11, now it will hit theatres on February 1, along with Sonam Kapoor’s ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’.

The film’s director, Bhushan Patel, said in a statement: “We are trying to achieve top-class VFX and that is little time-consuming. We do not want to release the film haphazardly and want to ensure that the end product is up to the mark.”

Check out the trailer here:

The film also stars Mona Jasbir SinghAli Asgar Agha, Navneet Kaur Dhillon, and Vivan Bhathena. And it is directed by Bhushan Patel, who has also directed ‘Ragini MMS 2’, ‘Alone’ & ‘1920: Evil Returns’. The film is presented by Viiking Media Entertainment.

The plot seems old, a couple plans for a long weekend away from home, in a deserted house, outside the city. The deserted house is beautiful but haunted, closed since a very long time but everything looks clean. Some random person warns them not to open the gate or go inside the house. And then comes the favorite dialogue of the horror movie actors “Bhoot voot Kuch Nahin Hota…” (There is nothing like ghosts) After which ghosts try to make humans feel their presence and horror part stars.
