Subtle but important changes are what drives a company towards success. Netflix is one such company, tweaking its services every time to stay ahead of its competitors. On Friday, the company pulled off a major move. It released its user interface in Hindi. Knowing that a large of its subscribers come from India, the company has definitely pulled off a clever move.

Releasing the Hindi interface, the company claims that it’ll help its members to easily access international and Indian content. The Hindi user interface will be available on Mobiles, Tv, and web.

In a statement, the streaming giant said :

“Netflix members can switch to the Hindi user interface from the Language option in the ‘Manage Profiles’ section on their desktop, TV, or mobile browsers. On Netflix, members can set up to five profiles in each account, and each profile can have its own language setting.”

Limiting your own products or services can prove to be detrimental to your company. Thus, knowing this Netflix also stated that users outside India can also use the Hindi interface.

Further, it proves the company’s commitment to the Indian market, where it has grown exponentially. A large variety of hit Indian content has been produced by the service. This includes Sacred Games, Bulbul, Choked: Paisa Bolta Hai, and Indian Matchmaking.

Soon, 17 different contents from India will come on the platform. This includes Ludo, A Suitable Boy, Mismatched and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl which will release on August 12. Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte, Raat Akeli Hai was the recent Indian film to release on the platform.

Talking about the company’s latest move, Monika Shergill, VP Content, Netflix India said :

“We believe the new user interface will make Netflix even more accessible and better suit members who prefer Hindi.”
