Newton's latest box office collection released by the bollywood analyst Taran Adarsh on his Twitter account

Rajkummar Rao‘s most awaited black comedy movie ‘Newton‘ has finally released on September 22. The movie is directed by Amit V Masurkar and produced by Drishyam Films. The movie features Rajkummar Rao as Newton Kumar, Pankaj Tripathy, Anjali Patil, and Raghuvir Yadav.

Today, Bollywood Analyst Taran Adarsh released the latest box office collection for the movie ‘Newton’ on his Twitter account along with a caption saying, “#Newton [Week 2] Fri 91 lakhs, Sat 1.66 cr, Sun 1.75 cr, Mon 1.44 cr, Tue 45 lakhs, Wed 44 lakhs, Thu 44 lakhs. Total: ₹ 18.92 cr. India biz.”

On Thursday, the movie has earned Rs 44 lakh and which is collecting a total of Rs 18.92 crore. Now, the movie ‘Newton’ has gained a momentum at the theatres maybe because the movie is being India’s first official entry in the Oscars and this has also become one of the big reasons that luring the audience to the cinemas.

However, the movie ‘Newton’ is based on the story of Nutan Kumar, son of a middle-class family living in Chattisgarh. One day he decides to change his name to Newton just to avoid getting laughed and he has no idea that where it will lead him. Later, he started working as a government clerk and after few years he has been sent to conduct a free and fair election in the Maoist-hit Dandakaranya region and there he realized the significance of Newton’s discovery of the gravitational force. The movie raises the question of the importance of the electoral system and they are so proud of it and the movie takes us much beyond from what we have actually seen.
