American singer and actor Nick Jonas will soon be back on the big screen with the sequel of ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’. The actor confirmed the news by posting it on his social media account.

Nick took to Instagram to share the GIF along with a note, which goes as, “Guess who’s back… Let’s go people! The #Jumanji sequel is on the way and I couldn’t be more excited to bring Alex back to the big screen ??.”

Jonas’ character was named Alex in the first movie, in which he was stuck in Jumanji for twenty years. However, any details about the sequel haven’t been shared or revealed yet.

The sequel will be directed by Jake Kasdan and it also stars Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. According to Variety, Kasdan, Scott Rosenberg, and Jeff Pinkner have written the script.

‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’  was a fresh start of 1995 released ‘Jumanji’ which was directed by Robin Williams. The film earned $960 million dollars at the global box office.

Reportedly Actor and rapper Awkwafina might also be the part of the movie, which is scheduled to release in December this year.

Jonas last appeared in 2017 released ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’ and he has three projects coming up this year. One of them is computer-animated jukebox musical comedy ‘UglyDolls’ and another is American historical action drama ‘Midway’.
