Niti Taylor: All good things come to an end, but life goes on!

Niti Taylor is an Indian television actress. Niti made her television debut in 2009 with the serial ‘Pyaar Ka Bandhan’. Later she appeared in shows like ‘Gulaal’, ‘Bade Acche Lagte Hain’ and much more. She rose the popularity from her role as Nandini Murthy in MTV India’s youth show Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, opposite Parth Samthaan. Her show went on to be a super hit and the number 1 youth show in India. In 2016, she appeared in the music video “Parindey Ki Pagalpan” opposite Siddharth Gupta. Currently, she is seen playing the female lead in the show titled “Ghulaam” opposite Param Singh.

In August, it was reported that Ekta Kaul is all set to join the show “Ghulaam” as the lead role of Shivani Mathur opposite Param Singh. But as per the latest reports, the show is going Off Air on 25 August and she will not enter the series. According to the plot, Niti’s character was expected to die before Ekta’s entry.

Reacting to the news of her replacement and the show wrapping up, Niti said, “To begin with, I wasn’t getting replaced. I was merely exciting as my character was dying. The new girl was supposed to play a new character. The news of my exit came as a shocker and I was affected for a couple of days. However, I took the development in my stride and have now decided to go with the flow. All good things come to an end, but life goes on. Then came the news of the show shutting down abruptly and I was taken aback. It’s not going to affect just me, but the entire team. In fact, a few crew members jokingly said, ‘Aap jaa rahe ho aur hamein bhi saath le jaa rahe ho’. I told them that it wasn’t my fault. But I am happy that my character is not dying. It will be a happy ending for me. The show has given me a lot and I will always be indebted to the team.”

Niti has even encouraged Ekta Paul to take up the show if everything fell into place. About Ekta, Niti said, “I have worked with Ekta in ‘Bade Achhe Laggte Hain’. I told her to take up the show come what may since the team is very good.”

However, Niti’s journey on the show was not smooth. She has been in news for her alleged showdowns with her co-actors Vikkas Manaktala and Param Singh. Niti says, “Differences happen on every set and we were no different. Thodi nok-jhok toh hoti hi hai because actors are bound to have creative differences. However, unfortunately, in our case, things were blown out of proportion. Param and I get along like a house on fire. We are like two children on the set and trying to kill it in every scene till the last episode. I had a great equation with Vikkas, too. However, that changed following a minor tiff. Having said that, we are cordial with each other.”
