Shakespeare might have said “what’s in the name” but if two of these Bollywood movies are to be considered, a lot of confusion can occur over the similarity of their titles. While Pulkit Samrat and Kirti Kharbanga starrerVeerey Ki Wedding is a light heart comedy that is nothing different than the cliche family dramas that we view every now and then, Veerey Di Wedding is one of the most awaited movies of this season starring Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania.
Veerey Ki Wedding, whose trailer got released earlier today seems like a typical family drama where Veer (Pulkit) and his brother are goons due to which Geet’s (Kirti) parents refuse to let their daughter marry Veer. What follows is a comic riot formulated to make the two ends meet. The trailer lacks newness and is far from impressing us. Here’s a look-
Pulkit in an interview spoke regarding the similarity of the two movie titles. He said, “Five movies have released on Bhagat Singh. Same title, same story. For us at least the story is different. The makers had the title already. And what I feel is that both are different films. So once we are done with Veerey Ki Wedding, we’ll definitely look forward to Veere Di Wedding.”
Anything new that the movie provides is a dance number by one of Bigg Boss 11 housemates, Sapna Chaudhary. Other than Pulkit and Kirti, Jimmy Sheirgill and Yuvika Chaudhary will also be seen in the movie.
While Veerey Ki Wedding is ready to release on March 9, Veerey Di Wedding, produced by Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor, will hit the theatres on June 1.
