Even Salman Khan’s name also didn’t do any good for Nitin Kakkar’s romantic drama ‘Notebook‘. The unusual and unique love story poorly fared at the box office and only managed to collect ₹60-70 lakhs on its opening day.

Praised for the spellbinding visuals of Kashmir, the heavenly lake and overall performance of the lead actors, the film turned out to be a huge disappointment, bigger than Salman Khan’s last produced movie ‘Loveyatri’ which also introduced newcomers, Aayush Sharma, and Warina Hussain.

The movie explores a very unusual and unique love story of people who fall in love without even seeing or meeting each other.

The film is the Hindi adaptation of the Thai drama ‘The Teacher’s Diary’ (2014). The screenplay is up to the mark but the spellbinding visuals of Kashmir and the heavenly lake makes the film even more interesting.

The movie launched two new faces to the world of cinema but performance wise the actor Zaheer Iqbal is a little better than the granddaughter of actress Nutan and daughter of Mohnish Bahl, Pranutan.

The film is produced by Salman Khan Films and helmed by National award-winning director Nitin Kakkar.
