NTR biopic

The epic life of one of the greatest actor of Indian cinema N. T. Rama Rao has been reanimated on the big screen. The saga will be told in two parts, ‘NTR Kathanayakudu’, and ‘NTR Mahanayakudu’. The trailer of the biopic has been released, featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna as (his father) N. T. Rama Rao and Vidya Balan as (NTR’s wife) Basavatarakam.

The trailer gives us a glimpse of NTR’s life and his journey from a sub-registrar in Madras Service Commission to an actor portraying Hindu deities, then becoming the most beloved Superstar and quitting his acting career to join politics to serve the people who made him a superstar.

Vidya Balan in the role of NTR’s wife looks convincing and beautiful. Other actors, like Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Rana Daggubati, Rakul Preet Singh, Hansika Motwani, and several others have not been introduced in the trailer. The star cast of the film is very long.

Rakul Preet will be seen playing teenage Sridevi, who shared the big screen with NTR in several films, including, ‘Kondaveeti Simham’, ‘Justice Chowdhary’ and ‘Vetagaadu’. Rakul posted her first look in the film, on her Instagram account.

Rana Daggubati will be seen as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu, son-in-law of NTR who went behind his back to start a revolt in his party.

NTR was the first superstar of India and after giving his several years to Indian cinema, he turned to politics to serve his people. He was the most loved actor and politician. He founded his own party, Tamil Desam Party (TDP) in 1982. He became the 10th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and he won the seat thrice, but couldn’t complete his third tenure due to his party’s internal revolt.
