Director Omung Kumar says that you won’t see actor Sanjay Dutt in his upcoming Indian action movie titled ‘Bhoomi‘. The movie which is directed and co-produced by Omung Kumar himself. The movie features Sanjay Dutt, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharad Kelkar and Sidhant Gupta. The movie is said to be an emotional and sensitive revenge drama and it shows the relationship between a father and his daughter.
Earlier, Omung has given a blockbuster hit movie titled ‘Mary Kom’, featuring Priyanka Chopra. Now, he is all set for his upcoming movie titled ‘Bhoomi’ and with his movie, Sanjay Dutt is making his comeback. Omung feels that Sanjay has put his trust on him with his comeback film when Sanjay was signing the movie, Omung said that he was into pressure and was very excited at the same time.
Omung went to his house and showed him three-four scripts and out that Sanjay selected Bhoomi and he was happy that Sanjay Dutt was making his comeback with the movie ‘Bhoomi’. Now, Sanjay Dutt is a free man both physically and mentally. Last year he got released from the jail after completing his jail term. Omung said that audience love Sanjay Dutt and that period of his is over now and he is a changed person now. Both the film fraternity as well as the audience love him. Moreover, he says that there were few times during shooting when Sanjay has to appear in court and this has so happened as he went to appear before the court and on that day they all decided to do a court scene with him and they all used to joke that ‘real court se aake, fake court aa gaye’.
However, Sanjay Dutt has not shown any tantrums on the set and Omung said that while shooting people used to gather to see Sanjay Dutt shooting. Sanjay has requested to all of them that they can watch the movie quickly without getting hurt somewhere. Whenever he used to come out from his vanity van there are a lot of people used to follow him, but as soon as he stepped into the sets he transforms himself into the characetrof Arun Sachdeva and while shooting the movethere sws no Sanjay Dutt for him. He used to get into the character of Arun and he has not shown his aura of a superstar on the sets and you will not see Sanjay Dutt in the movie.
Moreover, Omung also said about Aditi Rao Hydari that she is a fabulous actor and a great performer. He said that she is very beautiful and she has a very innocent face and that is what he was looking for in his upcoming movie and if something happens bad to those people your heart goes out of them and in the movie she has pushed her more and now saying that she is a director’s actor would not be wrong. With her upcoming movie, she actually gave competition to many people in the Bollywood town.
However, The Central Board of Film Certification had earlier suggested some cuts in the movie while the makers of the movie remained unfazed with their decision. Omung said that her wife checks everything frame by frame and if there is any change in the movie she’ll come to know and when the movie was shown with the cuts no one can actually figure out that where were the cuts.
On the work front. Omung Kumar will again be seen working with the actor Sanjay Dutt in his next movie titled ‘The Good Maharaja’ soon. As soon as Sanjay red the script he said that he will be doing this movie it will be a big movie and will be made in Polish, Hindi and in English. Sanjay Dutt will be seen playing the titular role in the movie. However, the movie will take time as research are in the process.
Talking about his upcoming movie ‘Bhoomi’, which will show the deep relationship between his father and his daughter. The movie is said to be an emotional story which will reflect father and daughter’s strong bond.
