In 2008, the first instalment of Marvel’s Avengers franchise had been released to the public, revolving around the story of Iron Man. Robert Downey Jr., who portrayed Iron Man/Tony Stark’s character, had to don a 102 kilograms metal suit during the entirety of the filming. This revered gold and red suit, which started the Avengers, as we now know it, was recently reported stolen from Marvel’s warehouse in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Police submitted an official report on the 9th of May, stating that the 10-year-old Iron Man suit was missing from its place in the warehouse. This iconic costume, valued at 325,000 USD (around 2,20,00,000 INR) had vanished from the storage sometime between the end of February and April 25th. The owners of the warehouse in Pacoima, north of downtown Los Angeles, however, could not confirm any exact date of the theft. Moreover, no other items of any sort were reported missing from the storage facility.

Officer Christopher No, spokesman of the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that this “unusual” threat had become their utmost priority at the moment. Many detectives have, apparently, been put into the case. However, none of them, as of yet, have had any leads regarding the culprit.
