Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor says that nobody makes the movie to hurt the sentiment of the people because the movie has been made for the audience. Actor, Shahid Kapoor finally spoke about his upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘. He is paying the role of a Maharaja Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the movie.
He says that no one makes the movie to hurt the sentiments because it is for them as many people as possible to see. The movie ‘Padmavati’ has come under the fire by the Karni Sena and the various political parties who claim that the makers of the movie have distorts the history and in the movie, they have shown the dream sequence between Rani Padmini and Muslim sultan Allauddin Khilji.
However, the makers of the movie have clarified many a time that there so no dream sequence in the movie between the two actors all the reports are untrue and are baseless. The cast of the movie Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor has shown the faith in the director’s and have said that they are with the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and they totally believe in the film.
Shahid Kapoor says that it is very unfortunate that someone who is such a fine repute is being subject to the unwarranted criticism. According to the recent reports, the movie has been banned by the three states such as Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Gujarat. Vijay Rupani, the chief minister of Gujarat says that the movie was banned in his state because the way the makers of the movie has been represented women in the movie they did not like it.
Political leaders even said that such movies with such issues spoil the environment and they even believe that they could wreak havoc during the elections if this issue can not be handled properly. However, there are several petitions who have demanded the movie should be banned they have even filled that in the court but that duly has been rejected by the court. The movie was supposed to release on December 1 but due to the controversy, the makers of the move have deferred the release date of the movie.
The movie ‘Padmavati’ is an upcoming Indian period drama. The movie which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh as Alauddin Khilji, Shahid Kapoor as MaharajaRawal Ratan Singh, Jim Sarbh, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
