Actor Mohanlal, actor-choreographer Prabhudheva, musician Shankar Mahadevan and percussionist Anandan Sivamani are among the 56 distinguished personalities who were honored with Padma Shri Awards. President Ram Nath Kovind presented the awards to them on Monday.
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal tweeted, “Received #PadmaBhushan, The 3rd Highest Civilian Award from The Honorable President of India, with jubilation. Prabhudheva also took to Twitter after receiving his Padma Shri award and along with a picture of himself with his parents, he wrote, “Thanks for all the love u all gave, ur love gave me This award, I dedicate this award to the love u all gave.”

Prabhu Deva is already a National-Award winning choreographer-turned-actor and hails from Mysore, Karnataka. He entered the film industry as a choreographer and later established himself as a talented actor and a successful director.
