Bollywood films doing well overseas not just in Japan, but also in China. It’s no secret that China has come to love Bollywood almost as much as we have loved Chinese food over the years.
Chinese box-office has raked in a serious sum of money for Indian movies, especially this year. Six Bollywood movies which were released in China this year has not disappointed the Chinese audience at all and have all made quite a splash in the Chinese market and that too from the first day itself.
5 Bollywood films were released in China in 2018 including ‘Secret Superstar’ which went on to be Bollywood’s highest grossing film in China ever. It opened to a collection of ₹40 crores. ‘Hindi Medium’, ‘Bahubali 2’, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, and ‘Dangal’ were the other Bollywood films which did exceptionally well at the Chinese box office.
