The maker of the movie 'Padmavati' gets the police security!

Indian Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been provided with the precautionary security to cover the filmmaker due to the amidst increasing controversy and growing threats ahead of the release of his upcoming Indian period drama movie titled ‘Padmavati‘.

The security which has been provided to the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is not yet clear. However, Bhansali has not commented on it so far. The Indian Film and Television Directors Associations (IFTDA) has thanked the Cheif Minister Devendra Fadnavis for providing the security to the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali who lives and works in Mumbai.

Ashoke Pandit, on the behalf of the whole film fraternity, said that they are highly obliged to the Minister and they are not having any words to express their gratitude for providing the police protection to their esteemed member. Moreover, he says that they commend their assurance to keep the law and other situations in control that speaks that their volumes of the efficiency of their staff and the police personnel.

Moreover, Ashoke Pandit has urged to the state government to help the victims and he wants the movie should release without anybody’s intrusion. They should provide safety to Bhansali’s life so that in future he will continue to make the memorable movies and he can help the future generations to learn from their legacy.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been facing up the ire of the various groups and many styled experts for the depiction of Rajput queen Rani Padmini. There are many protests and violence that are happening against the Bhansali and the people are opposing the movie from the time it was being shot at various locales in the different parts of India and now as it is preparing for release globally soon. Besides these, there are a group of people and individuals, the entire film fraternity and along with the civil society members, all of them have expressed their support with Bhansali for his latest movie.

On November 16, The Indian Films and TV directors association, Cine and Television Artist Assists and along with the Western India Cinematographers Association, the Screenwriter association, Associations of Cine and television art director and costume designer have all decided that they will all extend their support to Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the Film City. The members of all the association will stand in silence for 15 minutes.

The movie ‘Padmavati’ has been directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and jointly produced by Bhansali and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures. The movie features Deepika Padukone in the title role as Rani Padmini, alongside Ranveer Singh as Allauddin Khilji, Shahid Kapoor as Rawal Ratan Singh, Jim Sarbh, and Aditi Rao Hydari.

The movie ‘Padmavati’ is all set to release on December 1, 2017.
