Tiger Zinda Hai not cleared by Pakistan CBFC!

An upcoming Indian spy thriller movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai‘ did not get the clearance from the Pakistan Central Board of Film Certification. The movie which is said to be a sequel to the 2012 movie’Ek Tha Tiger’ and this movie marks the second installment of the Tiger film series. The movie has been directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The movie features Salman Khan, DJ Talib, Katrina Kaif, Angad Bedi, Paresh Rawal, Girish Karnad and Sudeep.

The much-anticipated movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has been refused by the No-Objection Certificates (NOC) for the import by Pakistan’s Ministry of Information, Broadcasting and the National Heritage. However, the movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ which too had not released in the country.

Mobasher Hasan, the chairman of Pakistan’s Central Board of Film Censor (CBFC) said that the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer movie ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ has been refused the NOC and that too citing the same reason as the first installment of the franchise faced. The image of Pakistan and it’s laws enforcement agencies that have been compromised.

The movie is said to be the two spies one which is Indian and other is Pakistani. However, the movie is slated to release in Indian on December 22, 2017. The Executive Director of the Geo TV Network, Sulaiman S. Lalani, Geo TV Network, and they have joined hands to distribute the movie, is disheartened.

They have preferred the option was that the Tiger Zinda Hai should not have been allowed for import, presented to the Censor Board and if it is objectionable material was found against the interest of Pakistan/ Islam exhibition of the movie should not have allowed then.

Moreover, they have said that if there will be anything which is against the national interest of Pakistan in the movie and they themselves would not have sought the exhibition but this could have been done only after previewing of the movie.

The makers of the movie have been verbally advised that the Ministry of the Information has adviced not to issue NOC for import of the ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ and that too with the no reasons assigned. Moreover, on Thursday, Lalani is expecting a written response from both the parties.

Looking at the Salman Khan’s fan following in Pakistan and there was a high-interest level in the movie. The people of Pakistan love the Bollywood actor Salman Khan as it has been proved with the last release of his movie titled ‘Sultan’. The movie ‘Sultan’ was minted approximately $3 million at the box office in Pakistan. Moreover, his movie ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan was also loved by the fans here.

The movie with a title ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, which is directed by Zafar and he told in his recent interview that it is a largely a story about the humanity. Moreover, he said that the movie is a very human story and it is not political at all. The main idea in the movie is that there is a fight between right and wrong and that is at stake is humanity. He said that there nothing bigger than humanity in this movie.
