After releasing the first song Mard Maratha over a week ago, the makers of the upcoming historical period drama Panipat have come up with another song today which is as energetic as the last song.

Titled Mann Mein Shiva, the song features Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao and hundreds of other warriors, all of them praising Lord Mahadev and dancing to the tunes of this upbeat song. Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai also comes on the ground praising the Lord and joins Arjun in dancing.

Penned by Javed Akhtar, the song goes by the lyrics, “Tere mann mein Shiva, mere mann mein shiva, saanson mein Shiva, Praano mein Shiva” and brings the Shiv bhakt out in you. The song has been composed by Ajay Atul and sung by Kunal Ganjawala, Deepanshi Nagar and Padmanabh Gaikwad.

Arjun Kapoor took to his social media account to share the song and wrote, “The victory cry of Shiva echoes loud! #MannMeinShiva from #Panipat out now!”

Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus period drama is based on the Third Battle of Panipat that took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat between a northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali.

The Maratha warriors were defeated in the battle which is considered as one of the largest and most eventful fought battles in the 18th century. Abdali was supported by two Indian allies— the Rohilla Afghans of the Doab, and Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh.

The film features Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon in the lead roles while Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl and Zeenat Aman also appear in pivotal roles. Sanjay Dutt plays the Afghan King Ahmad Shah Abdali while Kriti Sanon appears as Parvati Bai, wife of Sadashiv Rao Bhau played by Arjun Kapoor.

Produced by Sunita Gowariker under her banner AGPPL in association with Rohit Shelatkar’s company, Vision World, Panipat is slated to hit the cinema halls on 6 December this year.
