Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the spy thriller is one of the most loved films of the era. ‘PATHAAN’ PLOT SUMMARY
While Pakistan is back eyeing Kashmir, an ex-military officer Jim joins hands with Pak officials to destroy India. John Abraham is the bad guy who has a score to settle with the nation he once served. On the other hand, Pathaan, an Indian spy agent prepares a team of retired agents to navigate Jim’s whereabouts.
The main crux of the film revolves around a deadly virus, more dangerous than Covid-19, which is being cooked in secret labs to destroy certain places in India. Pathaan and his team are on a mission to battle with desh-ke-dushmann and save the country.
‘PATHAAN’ STARS PERFORMANCE
Pathaan has a stellar cast, including Shahrukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, John Abraham, Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia.
Watching Badshah Khan on the big screen is a visual treat to our eyes. The actor playing Pathaan- has the aura of the romance king, action-packed-hero and most importantly desh ka beta. With his charm and versatile acting chops, SRK pulled off the role of Pathaan in a magnificent way.
Deepika Padukone played the ex-ISI agent Rubina in the film. She also portrayed the leading lady of Pathaan. The chemistry between the Om Shanti Om co-actors was magic on screen. John Abraham was the most appreciated stars of the film. The actor, known for his action sequences in various films, was given a negative character, which he pulled off with ease. He smoothly slid into the shoes of Jim, taking revenge from his motherland for whom he lost his wife and son.
While Dimple Kapadia played the head of the Indian agents led by Pathaan, Ashutosh Rana portrayed the character of the head of the RAW in India. Both the veteran actors did justice to their roles.
A cameo by Salman Khan, playing Tiger (Tiger Zinda Hai) was cheery on the cake. Witnessing SRK and Salman on screen is definitely a visual treat for the audience. It simply feels that mere Karan-Arjun literally aagye!!
‘PATHAAN’ BOX-OFFICE COLLECTION
The much-awaited action thriller from the YRF’s Spy Universe has crossed Rs 100 crores worldwide on its first day. The domestic box office collection of Pathaan was Rs 54 crores on day one. The film has broken the opening day collection record of Hrithik Roshan’s War (Rs 50 crores) and Yash’s KGF: 2 Hindi (Rs 52 crores).
On Day 2, SRK’s blockbuster minted around Rs 70 crores. The worldwide ticket sales for two days add up to over Rs 200 crores. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “All BO records demolished. Pathaan creates history on Day 2 as well. First Hindi film to nearly ₹ 70 crores in a single day. Wed 55 cr, Th 68 cr (Republic Day). Total: ₹ 123 cr. Hindi version. India biz. Unimaginable. In just four days, the film has minted around Rs 400 crores. Overall, Pathaan is a full-on entertainer with a blend of love, laughter, emotions and action sequences. The film had a theatrical release on January 25, 2023. A must-watch for all the SRK fans. Definitely a great comeback by King Khan!
