Today Rajinikanth Starr-er movie Petta hits the theaters worldwide. The movie has been directed by Karthik Subbaraj and is produced by Sun pictures. It is one of the most anticipated films of 2019. Petta is the Tamil debut of Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It also features Trisha, Simran, and Vijay in the important roles where Vijay Sethupathi is seen as an antagonist. Petta is an action-drama where superstar Rajinikanth is seen in a very stylish avatar after a long time.
The story is woven around Rajinikant’s Character Kaali who works as a hostel warden. The things take an interesting turn when Kaali’s path crosses with a group of gangster. Petta is the Tamil debut for actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, where it plays a negative role. Kaali gets the job only to settle unfinished business with Singar Singh (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) in Uttar-Pradesh.
The First half of the movie is Light and breezy with Rajinikanth’s good comic one-liners and his energetic body language. Simran in the film plays as a decorative romantic counterpart of Rajini. There is a solid supporting of Vijay Sethupati and Nawazuddin which adds attraction to film.
In a tweet, trade analyst Shree Pillai has stated that the pre-sells of Petta premier shows in the United States have crossed $250,000. Rajinikanth is no less than a God to his fans. Fans are crazy about him, two of his fans even got married today at the woodland theatre, Chennai.

Besides Rajinikanth, Anirudh Ravichander’s music is the second hero of the film. The action in the movie is refreshing. Petta is way too long at 2 hours 52 minutes. But the movie is engaging as it has superstar Rajinikanth and this film is his most reasonable movie in recent past. Overall, Petta is a satisfying watch. The Director Karthik Subbaraj is overwhelmed with the response that the film has received.
