Sunday turned out to be a mournful day for Pritam. The music composer’s father passed away after battling with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases for two years. His father was admitted to hospital since the last three months and on Sunday took his last breadth.
A source close to Pritam told in an interview “He had been in hospital for last three months. Pritam, his sister and mother were there with him at the hospital. He had been ill for almost 2 years and had been admitted in the hospital for three months. On Sunday, he ended the chapter of his life due to Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.”
Pritam who is a known composer in bollywood has composed for films such as ‘Ae dil Hai Mushkil’, ‘ Dilwale’, ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ and many others. He has won Filmfare awards for best music direction for films like ‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Barfi’, and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, coincidentally all the three films starred actor Ranbir Kapoor.
His fathers last rites were held in Amboli on Sunday.
