Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, she is the Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and even she was amongst the one to take up the first step to fight for the rights of refugees and displaced people.
Now, International star Priyanka Chopra takes the baton ahead as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Priyanka has been touched by her compassion and deep connection with the young generation and now she has been awarded the Mother Teresa Memorial Award for Social Justice.
However, an actress Priyanka Chopra was not available to collect the award so on her behalf her mother Dr. Madhu Chopra received it. While receiving the award she said that as a mother she is immensely proud to have a child who is that much compassionate and has so much kindness in her.
Her daughter Priyanka exemplifies the fact that more you give the more you will get. When she was a child even at that she was very much influenced by the Mother Teresa and she has been supporting Prem Niwas in her hometown Bareilly.
Moreover, she added that it is very justifiable for her to receive this honorable award and she says that she is very proud of her and she is thankful and she is very much sure that she is humbled that her efforts have been recognised by the foundation and she believes in helping the needy people and supporting the deprived and raising funds for those who are impoverished.
