Priyanka Chopra recently left the much anticipated big-budget film ‘Bharat’ starring Salman Khan, reportedly due to her engagement with Nick Jonas. But, now the actress has landed a role opposite Chris Pratt and is all ready to star in her next Hollywood film titled ‘Cowboy Ninja Viklings’ as a leading lady.
The film is based on the Image Comics graphic novel by A.J. Lieberman and illustrator Riley Rossmo. It was adapted by Dan Mazeau (“Wrath of the Titans”) and Ryan Engle (“The Commuter”). Craig Mazin wrote an earlier draft of the screenplay with an original version by “Deadpool” writers Paul Wernick and Everett David Reese.
The novel revolves around an assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: a cowboy, a ninja, and a viking. The film’s story centers around a lethal agent, play by Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star Chris Pratt, whose treatment by a psychotherapist leaves him with “an ability to manifest the deadliest attributes of the three titular personas”. The report added that details of the Priyanka’s role are not confirmed as of now but she will be the leading lady.
The film that is still in its pre-production stage. Cowboy Ninja Viking is being directed by Michelle MacLaren of Game of Thrones fame, and the screenplay is being written by Dan Mazeau, Ryan Engle, Craig Mazin, Paul Wernick and David Reese. The film as per scheduled will hit the theaters on June 28,2019.
Priynaka also wrapped up shoot for her Hollywood film ‘Isn’t It Romantic?’ in New York with a dance sequence alongside her co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Rebel Wilson. Back in India, Priyanka will be seen alongside Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim in The Sky is Pink.
