Chaar Sahibzaade, 2014

Directed by Harry Baweja, and starring Harman Baweja in the lead role, Chaar Shibazaade was a biographical historical drama based on the sons of the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh and their sacrifices. Late actor Om Puri provided the voiceover for the movie’s narration. The movie was developed in computer graphics, and became the highest grossing animated feature made in India, with a box office collection of 70 crores world-wide.

Carry on Jatta 2, 2018

Starring Gippy Garewal and Sonam Bajwa in the lead roles, this comedy was directed by Smeep Kang and written by Naresh Kahooria. The movie was lauded for its humorous tone, and many gags that left audiences and critics in splits. Commercially, it was very successful, gaining 62 crores at the box office, along with the needed critical acclaim to boost its prestige.

Sardaar Ji, 2015

Diljit Dosanjh, Mandy Takhar, and Neeru Bajwa starred in this fantasy and comedic movie which was directed by Rohit Jugraj. The plot concerned, Jaggi (Dosanjh), who is a ghost hunter from Punjab and gets an invitation to catch the ghost of a woman. The movie was praised for its comedic value and screenplay, while audience enjoyed its breezy tone. Sardaar ji collected 50 crores at the box office.

Manje Bistre, 2017

Gippy Garewal and Sonam Bajwa’s successful onscreen Jodi tastes success in this romantic movie. Directed by Baljit Singh Deo, and written by Garewal, the movie took place around a desi wedding. With gorgeous sets and costumes, comedic scenes and romantic situations, Manje Bistre won the hearts of the audience and grossed 45 crores at the box office worldwide.

Angrej, 2015

A historical romance set during the end of British Raj in India, Angrej was directed by Simerjit Singh and starred Arminder Gill, and Sargun Mehta in the lead roles. It was praised for its romantic tone, and flashes of comedy. The audience fell in love with the characters portrayed by the leads. Angrej made 31 crores at the box office.

Qismat, 2018

Ammy Virk and Sargun Mehta collaborated for this romantic comedy which was written and directed by Jagdeep Sidhu. Critics applauded Virk’s performance, and claimed that it was his finest yet, while his chemistry with Mehta was well liked. The movie was embraced by the audience as well, and collected 30 crores at the Box office, thus emerging out as a hit.

Jatt & Juliet 2, 2013

Starring Diljit Dosnjh and Neeru Bajwa in the lead roles, Jatt & Juliet was directed by Anurag Singh. Both of the actors reprise their roles from the previous movie so they were well acquainted with the audience. And this time, it seems that the familiarity helped them a lot because the movie surpassed the gross of the original, and made 28 crores at the box office.
