Director R.S. Prasanna‘s recently released movie ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan‘ was a blockbuster hit and he says that the movie with the same topic of erectile dysfunction will have a sequel too.
On Tuesday, at the success party of his recently released movie, when asked that was there any plans to make the sequel of the movie again. Prasanna said that he has already told the story to the producer Aanand L. Rai and they all are waiting for the audience’s response whether they want the sequel or not. We can actually think of making a sequel because the audience has loved Ayushmann and Bhumi’s characters in the film.
The movie is said to be a remake of his own Tamil film titled ‘Kalyana Samayal Saadham’. The movie revolves around the concept of the erectile dysfunction and how it brings changes to his family life. The movie is said to be based on the Delhi and Haridwar and was extensively shot in Delhi, Hrishikesh and Haridwar.
Prasanna says that it was really tough for him to make the Hindi remake of the Tamil film, but he is lucky that everything happened in the right way. He says, “Aanand sir was there, so I knew as long as I do my job of directing the movie honestly and correctly and if he likes the film, then the audience will like the film.”
Prasanna says that he got the idea of the sequel when he was making a Tamil movie, but till now it is only an idea they will have to start working on the script now because the script will take time. On this Producer, Krishika Lulla says, “I feel small issues of marriage will connect to people’s heart, so that’s what we are looking for. Whatever we make, if it can connect to any of us with what is happening in our daily life, it will be really fantastic.”
The whole movie revolves around Ayushmann and Bhumi’s characters they fall in love with each other and they plan to get married, but the twist comes when they came to know that groom Ayushmann Khurrana is suffering from erectile dysfunction. But later, they got the solution of the problem.
On the sequel of the movie, actor Ayushmann says that the problem in making a sequel is that what would be the problem in part two because in the end, they have sorted out with the solution that he can become ‘Alpha male’ and such movies have a quirky subject they can not be explored more.
However, Prasanna says whenever they start a movie there is always have a fear that whether the people will like the movie or not because showing such topics on the big screen is really tough. They were also very cautious about being honest to the film because they have to make a film which is family friendly and not vulgar. However, the audience liked the movie and he was not expecting that the film will get such a good response.
